Zoom Integration Guide
Prerequisites
- A paid Zoom account (Pro, Business, or Enterprise). Basic free accounts do not support Cloud Recording.
- Cloud Recording and Audio Transcripts must be enabled in your Zoom web portal settings.
Adding the App
Follow these steps to authorize AfterWordsAI to receive your meeting cloud recordings:
- Log in to your AfterWordsAI Dashboard.
- Navigate to the Integrations tab on the left sidebar.
- Click the "Connect Zoom" button.
- You will be redirected to the secure Zoom Authorization Portal. Review the requested permissions (access to basic meeting info and cloud recording transcripts) and click "Allow".
- You will be redirected back to the AfterWordsAI dashboard, and your Zoom integration status will show as "Connected."

Usage
AfterWordsAI automatically processes your meeting recordings to generate intelligent summaries and reports. Usage is completely passive once configured.
Feature: Automated Meeting Summaries
Prerequisites: A paid Zoom account, Cloud Recording enabled, and Audio Transcripts enabled in your Zoom settings.
- Step 1: Host a Zoom meeting as you normally would.
- Step 2: Ensure you click "Record to the Cloud" during the meeting.
- Step 3: End the meeting. Zoom will process the video and transcript on their servers.
- Step 4: Once Zoom finishes processing (usually 5–10 minutes), they will securely notify AfterWordsAI.
- Step 5: AfterWordsAI will instantly generate your Executive Summary, Action Items, Research Reports, and Draft Emails inside your AfterWordsAI dashboard!
Removing the App
You can revoke AfterWordsAI's access to your Zoom account at any time. Doing so will immediately stop the platform from receiving new transcripts. Any transcripts already downloaded and processed will remain in your AfterWordsAI account until you manually delete them from your dashboard.
Method 1: From AfterWordsAI
- Navigate to the Integrations tab on your AfterWordsAI Dashboard.
- Click the "Disconnect" button next to the Zoom logo. Your integration token will be securely deleted from our Database.
Method 2: From Zoom App Marketplace
- Log in to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Click Manage in the top right corner.
- Click Added Apps on the left sidebar or select your personal installed apps.
- Find AfterWordsAI in the list of installed applications.
- Click the "Remove" button to instantly revoke access and uninstall the application.
Upon removal via Method 2, Zoom will notify AfterWordsAI via a Deauthorization Webhook, and we will comprehensively scrub your Zoom connection data in accordance with our data retention policy.
